INFRASTRUTURE: OBA ADESOJI ADEREMI EAST BY PASS AT ADVANCED STAGE OF COMPLETION

This 17.407km intercity road is a circumferential highway starting from the roundabout on Iwo Road, passing through Ofatedo to Ataoja Grammar School, through Ilesa Road and terminating at Osogbo township stadium roundabout. The road is constructed to serve as alternative routes to facilitate easy movement of goods and services around the State capital, reduce travel time in and out of the State and decongest traffic bottlenecks within the inner and urban areas of Osogbo metropolis.

Infrastructure investments are important to the economy and clearly a necessary condition for economic activity and growth. To policymakers, economic growth has several potential outcomes. It includes Job and Income growth, Improvement in the Quality of Life, Environmental Preservation and Sustainable Development. This multi-dimensional view of economic development reinforces the argument for infrastructure investments. The State of Osun has also completed over 242 km of Local Governments roads that will engender productivity and raise aggregate output of the State in terms of agriculture and commerce.
