BI-ANNUAL EVALUATION COMMENCES FOR MDAs OF GOVERNMENT
The Ministry of Home Affairs, Culture and Tourism was at the BOSS office on Monday, 27th January, 2014 as the first ministry to partake in the bi-annual evaluation of 2013 projects for Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the State of Osun being organized by the Bureau of Social Services pursuant to its mandate. A team led by the Special Adviser to the Governor, Honourable Oladipo Soyode made presentations on the activities of the Ministry in the year 2013.
At the event, DG BOSS, Mr. Femi Ifaturoti warmly welcomed all present and emphasized the mandate of Bureau of Social Services and her objectives. He stated that the assessment of the performance of MDAs is one of the key roles of the Bureau and to measure the implementation of projects, programs and policies according to the 6-point integral action plan of the administration.
According to Ogunfunminiyi F.O, Head of IT & Evaluation at BOSS, Evaluation is the systematic collection of information about the activities and outcomes that MDAs have achieved or failed to achieve with their programs, policies and projects in a given period with a view to making improved decisions and enhance future performance.
The outcome of the evaluation exercise for each Ministry would be used to improve the overall performance of government and ensure the delivery of people friendly governance to the people of Osun in the year 2014.
